Which Black Friday espresso deals are worth buying?

Short answerThe best Black Friday espresso deals are the ones that drop a machine or grinder below its usual street price, not just below list. Last year the Barista Express hit $499, the Bambino Plus $399.95, and the Encore ESP and Fellow Opus about $160. Black Friday 2026 is November 27 and Cyber Monday is November 30.

Grinders are where a Black Friday budget does the most good. A $160 grinder on a Bambino Plus will make better espresso than a pricier machine on pre-ground coffee. If you are unsure which type you need, read how to choose a burr grinder or compare our best coffee grinders.

How do you spot a fake Black Friday discount?

Five checks before you buy.

Compare against the street price, not the list price

A "$200 off" banner on a machine that usually sells $150 below list is a $50 deal. Use the usual-price column above.

Check the exact model number

Retailers sometimes discount an older or bundle-specific version. The Barista Express BES870XL and the Express Impress are different machines with different prices.

Watch for third-party sellers

On Amazon, check that the item ships from and is sold by Amazon or the brand. Warranty claims are much easier that way.

Confirm the return window

Many retailers extend holiday returns into January. That lets you buy early at a good price without worrying that it drops further.

Ignore pressure numbers on the box

15-bar or 20-bar claims do not make better espresso. Shots extract at around 9 bar; temperature control and the grinder matter more.

When do espresso machine deals start and end?

Black Friday is November 27, 2026; Cyber Monday is November 30.

Early November

Early deals appear on Amazon and brand stores, often at or close to the final Black Friday price.

Thanksgiving week (Nov 23-27, 2026)

Most espresso and grinder deals peak. Popular colors sell out first.

Cyber Monday (Nov 30, 2026)

Usually the same prices as Black Friday, sometimes with a few new markdowns on accessories.

Early December

Deals taper off. Prices often stay low on models that did not sell through, but there is no guarantee.

Are the deals the same in Canada?

Same dates, different prices.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday fall on the same dates in Canada, and Amazon.ca, Best Buy Canada and Breville Canada all run sales. Prices are in Canadian dollars and usually run 25-40% above the US figures in our table, so use the percentage off rather than the dollar amount as your guide. All the machines here run on the same 120V power, but check that the exact model and color is sold in Canada before you rely on a US deal post.

How we set the deal prices

Every model links to a full review; no paid placements.

  • Usual price: The typical street price recorded in our own review of each model, not the inflated list price retailers compare against.
  • Black Friday 2025: Sale prices published in dated 2025 deal round-ups from CoffeeGeek and Gear Patrol. Where we could not verify a 2025 sale for that exact model, the table says so.
  • Good deal at: Last year's verified sale price where we have one; otherwise about 20% below the usual price, which is a typical Black Friday cut for these brands.
  • What we include: Only machines and grinders we have reviewed on this site, so every deal links to a full review with who should buy and who should skip it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers before you buy.

When is Black Friday 2026?

Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is November 30, 2026, in both the US and Canada.

Most retailers start early deals in the first half of November and run them through Cyber Monday.

Is it better to buy an espresso machine on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

For espresso machines and grinders the two events usually carry the same prices, and many deals run continuously from before Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday.

Buy when a model hits the deal price in our table rather than waiting for a particular day.

How much do Breville espresso machines drop on Black Friday?

Last year the Barista Express sold for $499 against a $699.95 list price, and the Barista Touch Impress for about $999 against $1,499.95, according to dated 2025 deal posts.

Treat roughly 20-30% off list as a strong Breville deal.

Should I buy a grinder on Black Friday too?

Yes, if your machine does not have one built in.

Grinders like the Baratza Encore ESP and Fellow Opus dropped to about $160 last year, and a good grinder improves espresso more than a pricier machine does.

Are refurbished espresso machines a good Black Friday buy?

They can be, if they come from the manufacturer or an authorized seller with a warranty.

Compare the refurbished price with the new sale price first; during Black Friday the gap is often small.

Do Black Friday prices apply in Canada?

Canadian retailers run their own sales on the same dates, but prices are in CAD and usually 25-40% higher than the US dollar figure.

Check Amazon.ca and Canadian retailers directly, and confirm the model is sold in Canada.
